Hisense Has Announced a Huge 136-Inch TV

At this year’s CES 2025, Hisense is pushing the boundaries of what we consider a “large screen TV,” by introducing an incredibly expansive 136-inch TV model.

With no compromise in mind, the Hisense 136MX marks the tech giant’s debut into the consumer market for MicroLED televisions – a technology that, though still in its early stages of commercial development, is expected to be a strong contender to OLED technology, and we can expect to see more of it over the coming months.

As a passionate gamer, I’ve been eyeing up MicroLED TVs, even though they haven’t quite hit the mainstream yet due to their high initial cost. Yet, there are compelling reasons why these TVs could be a game-changer. For instance, they boast superior brightness, longevity, color accuracy, and contrast compared to OLED and other display types. Plus, they’re more energy-efficient.

What sets MicroLED apart is its tiny LEDs, usually less than 50 micrometers in size, each acting as an individual light source. This means each pixel can emit its own light independently, offering a level of control over the picture that’s hard to beat. Moreover, these LEDs are referred to as inorganic LEDs, which significantly reduces the risk of “burn-in” compared to OLED TVs.

This Hisense model, the 136MX, maximizes its MicroLED technology, boasting a stunning brightness of up to 10,000 nits. It is fueled by Hisense’s advanced Hi-View AI Engine X processor and operates on their VIDAA system.

There’s no word yet on if or when the Hisense 136MX will be released, but stay tuned for updates as we get them.
