In the glamorous world of Bollywood, celebrity weddings are extravagant events that often pose a challenge when it comes to preserving the couple’s privacy. For instance, renowned security consultant Yusuf Ibrahim shared his experience in handling the nuptials of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, which surprisingly went smoothly despite being high-profile weddings. On the other hand, managing the star-studded wedding of Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani proved to be challenging, as Ibrahim had to resort to legal threats against paparazzi in order to maintain privacy.
In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Yusuf shared insights about his role in securing prestigious celebrity weddings. He disclosed that Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, as well as Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani, had the most extensive guest lists.
Instead of managing Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding in 2021 at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan was difficult for them, it actually proved to be a seamless event due to the couple’s no-phone policy where guests left their phones in their rooms.
It was easy for us to handle the wedding as Katrina and Vicky specifically asked their attendees to leave their phones off, which they graciously followed.
Rather than easy, managing Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s wedding in Goa in 2024 was tough for them due to a large guest list and increased media interest. Their star-studded event drew many industry friends like Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and others to Goa. As a result, the security team had to ensure their safe arrival while avoiding media scrutiny. Additionally, they had to prevent staff and guests from taking photographs.
Instead, they opted for a beachside ceremony at sunset, but encountered privacy concerns. To prevent unauthorized photography by journalists, he contacted some of his media acquaintances and requested them not to capture images or videos during the event.
He explained that he brought everyone together for what he called a meeting, leading them to a small building. Once there, he had them all sit down. Approximately 30 people were present. He prohibited anyone from taking photographs and posed the question: “Now, how do you want this situation to unfold? Shall I enforce rules and security upon you, or would you prefer to spend the next two hours here peacefully in this shack?
1) He invested some funds but managed to handle things peacefully rather than exerting his power.
2) He shelled out some cash, but he maintained control without resorting to using force. (More informal)
3) He had to spend a bit of money, but he was able to keep things under control without needing to use power.
4) Although it cost him some money, he managed the situation without having to wield authority.
5) Spending some cash was necessary, but he controlled the circumstances without relying on his power.
6) He had to pay up, yet he managed the predicament without resorting to exercising power. (More formal)
7) Although it required spending money, he maintained control without needing to use force or authority.
8) He had to dip into his funds, but he was able to keep things in check without having to exert power.
9) Spending some money was essential, but he managed the situation without the need for power or dominance.
