Renowned author Yunus Sajawal recently discussed with Digital Commentary the kindness and affection of director Rohit Shetty towards his team. Yunus revealed that due to the ongoing lockdown, the release of Shetty’s movie Sooryavanshi had been postponed. However, in April, he reached out to the production crew to reserve the well-known Mehboob studio for September, as he aimed to create an indoor film during that time.
Yunus mentioned that the director of Singham Again had shared with him that he was creating the movie primarily for his team’s sake. He further explained that if he took a break from work for two years, it wouldn’t matter to him. However, Yunus pointed out that this could pose problems for the people in his team as they were running out of savings while not working. To ensure the smooth operation of his team’s families and households, Shetty decided to produce a studio-based film.
Yunus Sajawal revealed that Rohit, unbeknownst to others, hired junior artists and consistently paid their wages on time. According to the writer, Yunus mentioned that even though the film was considered a failure by many, Rohit continued to pay the salaries of all 500 workers, rotating them due to a 100-person limit.
During that period, each aspiring artist underwent health examinations and immunizations, and all of them were hired for a span of four months.
