High Jewelry Meets Haute Horlogerie in Piaget’s Altiplano Skeleton Métiers d’Art Timepiece

Piaget has revealed the Altiplano Skeleton Métiers d’Art watch, an impressive new timepiece demonstrating the brand’s commitment to merging artistic skill, high-end jewelry, and fine watchmaking.

Under the collaboration of Maison Piaget’s extraordinary workshops (Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire) and acclaimed enamel artist Anita Porchet, this reference features a freshly designed facet crafted from Grand Feu cloisonné enamel. The intricately applied Grand Feu cloisonné enamel showcases a tranquil color scheme, blending shades of blue, green, and purple in an abstract design.

The enamel wraps around the dial, both at the front and back, resulting in a harmonious blend of colors that matches the delicate gradient of the bezel, which is embellished with baguette-cut diamonds.

The 1200D Manufacture movement has been upgraded to 1201D1, featuring gem-encrusted details across the intricate lines of its skeleton design. Remarkably, even with its complex structure and artistic enhancements, this watch maintains Piaget’s signature slim build, standing just 7 millimeters thick.

Belonging to Piaget’s innovative and daring collection, the Altiplano Skeleton Métiers d’Art pushes the limits of luxury watchmaking, blending age-old techniques with contemporary ingenuity. Available in only eight unique pieces, further details about its acquisition can be obtained through Piaget’s website or authorized boutiques.
