25 years ago today, the timeless movie “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” starring Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel originally hit the screens, and as a tribute to this momentous occasion, the film is being re-released. In an exclusive chat, Ameesha Patel, who portrayed Sonia, recalled an incident from behind the scenes during the movie’s climax shooting. She disclosed that Hrithik sustained a serious back injury and had to be taken to the hospital at 3 a.m., causing quite a scare for everyone involved. Ameesha admitted that it was a nerve-wracking experience, with everyone holding their breath in worry.
In a chat conducted via Zoom, Ameesha Patel recounted a pivotal moment from the filming of the finale scene in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. She mentioned that during an energetic action scene, Hrithik Roshan unfortunately suffered a severe back injury.
Ameesha shared that Hrithik suffered an injury when he leaped, causing a noticeable snap from his spine. The actor was swiftly taken to the hospital at 3 in the morning, and due to this unexpected event, the film’s production had to be postponed for six months so Hrithik could rest in bed and recover properly.
In an instant, the romantic drama catapulted Hrithik Roshan into stardom and marked Ameesha Patel’s impressive debut before viewers.
