David Schwimmer Recalls Serving Rod Stewart Divorce Papers

David Schwimmer and Rod Stewart probably won’t be calling each other friends anytime soon.

More recently, the former cast member of “Friends” appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” during which he was questioned about the unusual jobs he held when he was still a teenager, prior to achieving stardom in Hollywood.

The actor from Goosebumps jokingly remarked that he fancied himself like James Bond, receiving clues about locations so he could hand-deliver court documents. There’s one individual he vividly recalls from those days.

One time, I happened to serve Rod Stewart, and it’s been years since then – I hope we haven’t crossed paths since! As for whether he remembers the encounter, I have my doubts.

Colbert quipped back promptly, “He’s aware now. Better change those locks, buddy. He’s vindictive,” further commenting, “There’s a possibility you might encounter Rod Stewart someday, and now he knows to give you a good wallop.

While Schwimmer didn’t disclose who was divorcing the iconic British rock singer back then, it’s known that Rod Stewart and his first wife Alana Stewart went their separate ways in 1984. This split happened when the actor, who would have been 18 years old at the time, was still a teenager.
