At his residence in Bandra, popular Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was recently ambushed by uninvited guests who initially focused on the room of his son Jeh. In an effort to shield his loved ones, Saif endured multiple stab wounds. At a subsequent press conference, medical professionals provided updates on Saif’s health status, explaining that he would be transitioned from the ICU to a specialized room. The doctors also recounted an inspiring moment where, despite severe blood loss, Saif bravely walked with his son Taimur, demonstrating his remarkable strength and determination.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, spoke to the media and stated, “When Saif Ali Khan arrived at the hospital, I was the doctor who initially met him. He had lost a significant amount of blood, but he walked in with an incredible strength, accompanied only by his young son Taimur. This display of courage is truly heroic.”
He further explained, “Being a hero on screen is acceptable, but facing a real-life crisis at home and acting as a hero is remarkable. Saif Ali Khan has indeed shown this courage. Currently, he is in good health. His condition has improved, and he is being moved from the ICU to a private room for his comfort. However, due to his need for rest, we will be monitoring visitors today.
In his remarks, Dr. Niraj Uttamani highlighted the good fortune of Saif Ali Khan, as the actor’s knife wound miraculously missed his spine by mere millimeters. Had the wound gone any deeper, it could have inflicted serious harm on his spinal cord, potentially leading to a catastrophic outcome. Dr. Uttamani underscored this, stating that Khan was essentially saved by 2mm, with the knife stopping just shy of his spinal cord.
Doctor Nitin Dange, the neurosurgeon responsible for Saif Ali Khan’s operation, delivered an encouraging report on his health status. He affirmed that Saif is progressing positively and has shown no complications while walking comfortably. “He experiences minimal discomfort or concerning symptoms,” Dr. Dange clarified. Furthermore, he stated that due to the advancement in Saif’s vital signs and test results, it is prudent to transfer him from the ICU to a private room for continued care.
Indeed, it was pointed out that Saif should take some time off to rest, especially to prevent infections in his back injuries. His mobility will be restricted for about a week to promote the healing of his spinal injury, although the chance of paralysis is minimal. The physician also highlighted that visits would be managed carefully to aid Saif’s recovery process.
The doctors have confirmed that Saif Ali Khan’s condition is improving significantly in his recovery process. They mentioned that following a walk, his vital signs and overall health showed enough stability to transfer him out of the ICU. Nevertheless, they highlighted the importance of rest and minimal movement for at least a week to avoid complications and facilitate a seamless recovery.
