Saif Ali Khan Attack: Accused in stabbing case still roaming free; police believe he could be ‘hardened criminal’ who changed clothes and fled scene

Saif Ali Khan suffered six stab wounds from an intruder who attacked him, as he valiantly defended his family. However, this suspect has managed to evade capture since the incident occurred. Despite intense efforts by police during a widespread search on Friday, they have yet to apprehend the alleged “hardened fugitive.

As per The Indian Express’s reports, the authorities suggested that the suspect may have switched his outfit before departing the actor’s apartment, allowing for a smoother escape from the crime scene.

In response to the seriousness of the incident, the Bandra police launched an extensive search operation to locate the burglary suspect who targeted Saif Ali Khan’s residence. Earlier on Friday, a potential suspect was apprehended by the authorities, but they ultimately released him as there was no evidence linking him to the crime.

During the ongoing probe, a police source disclosed that upon fleeing the crime scene, the suspect was caught on another set of security cameras. Upon exiting the building, his attire appeared to be different compared to what he was wearing initially.

According to the officer’s comments to the media, it was suggested that since the suspect had changed his clothes, he might be a seasoned criminal. Consequently, the investigation has been bolstered, and surveillance footage from neighboring train stations is being scrutinized.

In addition, the police source asserted that identifying and apprehending the suspect proved challenging as he disguised himself by wearing a mask and a hat.

Regarding Saif Ali Khan’s health status, it is currently stable following surgery. He sustained serious injuries and a fragment of a knife was located close to his spinal area. As the father of four, he was urgently taken to Lilavati Hospital around 3:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
