Chris Pratt Says House Is “Still Standing” Amid L.A. Fires

Chris Pratt has revealed his house has survived the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

The actor from Guardians of the Galaxy shared on Instagram on Wednesday evening that he would be inspecting his home, remarking that it was a miracle that it hadn’t collapsed, but thankfully we still have four walls and a roof, all thanks to God.

In a video update from his car upon returning to his fire-stricken Pacific Palisades neighborhood, Pratt shared that his son’s school had been destroyed, much like several of his friends’ homes. He confessed that he hadn’t visited the area since the Palisades fires and expressed deep sadness at the sight before him, acknowledging the destruction. While he was grateful that his own house remained standing, it was a bittersweet victory given the vast number of houses in the vicinity that had been reduced to ashes. The sense of community, he lamented, was gone.

He simply expressed that it’s amazing, yet we’re strong and have faith in God, viewing everything as a blessing. He thanks everyone for their prayers, support, and assistance. It’s been heartening to observe our communities unite. He’ll provide further updates now that things are returning to normal. Here we go. May God bless you, thank you for your prayers. Speak soon,” the Hollywood actor concluded.

Many well-known Hollywood celebrities have unfortunately lost their homes in the wildfires. This list includes Anna Faris (who was once married to Chris Pratt), Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Mel Gibson, Jeff Bridges, Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Diane Warren, Cary Elwes, and others.

The wildfires raging in Los Angeles are still going strong. They initially started in Pacific Palisades, a wealthy neighborhood of LA, and subsequently reached parts of Malibu and Santa Monica. A fresh fire ignited on Wednesday night close to the Getty Center museum and has been spreading due to windy conditions as reported by the National Weather Service.
