CNCPTS and Burton have a longstanding partnership, collaborating in business for close to three decades. For the first time, this experienced pair is formally joining forces on a collection of snowboards and clothing, aiming to replicate the impact that CNCPTS had on skate culture with Burton in the snow sports industry.
Snowboards are inspired by some of the highly sought-after skate shoe releases from CNCPTS, appearing in three versions: “When Pigs Fly,” “Ugly Sweater,” and “Holy Grail.” Each board has a unique number and includes extra historical graphics, symbols, and secret details and surprises.
For many years, Todd Bratrud, an experienced snowboarder and independent creator, was associated with Burton and CNCPTS brands. He spearheaded the design aspect, drawing inspiration from visuals of the ’90s and early ’00s to create a collection of 18 clothing items and accessories.
According to CNCPTS’ Creative Director Deon Point, our connection with Burton is rooted in skateboard culture, which influenced our approach to this project. We aimed to blend elements of both parties into the product design. We hold immense admiration for everything Todd has contributed to the skate world. Although our footwear designs offered a creative platform, there are limitations when it comes to materials and execution. However, Todd’s artwork elevated the inspiration behind each project to unprecedented levels.
