Dynasty Warriors: Origins – How To Unlock Every True Ending

Dynasty Warriors: Origins brings more to the table than simple hack-and-slash gameplay.

Three powerful factions, one epic story, and it’s up to you to change history.

The main conclusions are historically grounded, but the true conclusions introduce a “what if” element, causing major decisions to steer you towards a different outcome.)

In this manual, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions on how to access every possible outcome, equipping you with the means to alter China’s destiny positively.

How To Unlock Every True Ending

As a passionate fan, I’m excited to share that in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, I get the chance to explore six unique endings! The ending I experience depends on the faction I choose to ally with – Wei, Shu, or Wu. Each faction offers a distinct narrative pathway, ensuring a rich and immersive gaming experience.

Every group typically concludes according to historical precedent, but there are alternate endings where events unfold uniquely, altering the destinies of characters and shaping politics in unexpected ways.

As a gamer, I find that the ultimate victories unfold when I execute crucial decisions in pivotal battles with impeccable timing and strategic acumen.

Shu Faction (Liu Bei’s True Ending)

Among all the groups, achieving Shu’s true ending is the most direct path, however, it does necessitate a change in strategy during a crucial fight.

If you want to see how this alternate history plays out, read Chapter 5’s Battle of Changban.

Typically, it’s your mission to aid Liu Bei in his escape, however, to uncover the real ending, you need to alter historical events instead.

As soon as Cao Cao’s troops arrive, don’t stress about helping Liu Bei escape just yet.

Rather than avoiding him, you should face off against Cao Cao’s troops instead. First, handle his subordinates in the southern regions, and subsequently, move towards the north to engage with their commander.

If you defeat Cao Cao, the game will display a message saying “Fate Altered“, indicating that you have altered the course of history.

Assist Liu Bei whenever possible, and you’ll help bring about the authentic conclusion for Shu. This conclusion offers flexibility regarding pace and timing.

Rather than rushing blindly, it’s wiser to develop a strategic approach. This method caters to gamers with less advanced equipment or abilities.

Wei Faction (Cao Cao’s True Ending)

To get the true conclusion for Wei, you’ll encounter three significant fights, each demanding your best efforts to rescue key officials and meet specific goals.

A more effective approach would be to act swiftly, employing a well-planned tactic, as each operation involves strict deadlines and specific requirements.

1. Save Dian Wei in the Battle of Wan Castle (Chapter 4)

The key to success here is protecting Dian Wei, so move quickly and time it right.

Head straight for the northwest and northeast bases and capture them in under four minutes.

Afterward, move to the center and prepare to take on a few enemy officers.

You’ll need to act quickly to take down the generals before Dian Wei’s situation worsens.

Complete the objectives and save Dian Wei, and you’ll trigger the Fate Altered message.

2. Save Guo Jia in the Battle of Mt. Bailang (Chapter 5)

Bailuan can’t be allowed to buy time for the enemy, or Guo Jia’s life is at risk.

Take over the southwest bases and take care of the enemy at the northwest base.

Once you’re through these spots, head west to face off against Bailuan.

Stepping back through time, I ensure that Guo Jia survives, causing the “Fate Altered” message to flash once more.

3. Stop Huang Gai’s Fire Attack at the Battle of Chibi

Don’t let Huang Gai torch Cao Cao’s fleet in the last battle if you want Wei’s true ending.

Head over to the southwest altar and take care of Zhuge Liang before he triggers the fire attack.

After you manage to halt him, make your way towards the rear of Cao Cao’s armada, and eliminate Huang Gai before he can execute his scheme.

Follow through with these three stages, and you’ll uncover the authentic finale for Wei, a point in time where Cao Cao consolidates his authority and alters the course of China’s historical narrative.

Wu Faction (Sun Jian’s True Ending)

Wu’s true ending is a little more complicated than Shu’s, but still nothing compared to Wei’s.

In an altered scenario, you can trigger a different sequence of events by rescuing Sun Jian and Sun Ce at specific moments. Here’s a list of actions you’ll want to take.

1. Save Sun Jian at the Battle of Xiangyang (Chapter 3)

You must move past Sun Jian during this battle and focus on your mission.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve got some crucial advice for you: If you’re determined to witness the genuine finale, you simply must rescue him first. When the conflict erupts, veer towards the south and take down any adversaries obstructing your path.

Somewhere down the road, you’ll run into a phantom Zhang Jiao.

Triumph over him, and you’ll instigate the “Fate Altered” message, swiftly ending the stage and providing an opportunity to rescue Sun Jian from peril. As a devoted follower, I eagerly await this moment!

2. Save Sun Ce during the Suppression of Wu (Chapter 4)

The next critical battle is the Suppression of Wu in Chapter 4.

This mission aims to ensure Sun Ce’s survival, so you must stay on course, or you will fail.

Secure the bases to the north and west early to keep morale up and avoid ambushes.

Once Sun Ce begins moving westward, follow closely behind him and search for a hidden trail that borders the outskirts of the battleground.

To spy on the route leading to Bailuan, employ the eyes of the clandestine bird. Should you manage to conquer Bailuan within the given timeframe, the message “Fate Altered” will emerge.

Once Sun Jian and Sun Ce are safe, Wu’s true ending will be revealed after the rest of the battles.
