After FBI: International Finally Revealed Vo’s Fate, Vinesssa Vidotto Unpacks The Aftermath For The Fly Team

Heed this note: Details from the fourth season’s winter premiere of the series ‘FBI: International‘, titled “The Kill Floor”, may be revealed. You can watch it now, if you have an active Paramount+ subscription.

Enthusiasts of “FBI: International” have plenty to rejoice over as they delve into the initial episode of their 2025 TV lineup! Not only did the CBS drama successfully untangle the gripping cliffhanger from the winter finale, where Vo was shot, but it also confirmed that she managed to endure her ordeal and the Fly Team didn’t suffer the devastating loss of an agent. However, Vinessa Vidotto wasn’t featured in the episode, but she shared with TopMob what lies ahead for Vo following her brush with death, as well as when we can expect her return in Season 4.

During a significant portion of the hour, “The Kill Floor” focused on determining if Vo would make it through, causing Amanda Tate to share unfortunate news with her family. Fortunately, by the end when credits rolled, Vo seemed to be on the path to healing off-screen. Unfortunately, Raines was left with the most recent injuries among the Fly Team as he had been kidnapped. Luckily, all survived! However, will everyone be able to return to their normal lives?

During my chat with Vinessa Vidotto, she admitted that she was as clueless about Vo’s outcome as anyone else when she acted out the climactic scenes for the fall finale. Since I had the chance to view the winter premiere before our discussion, I had to ask: did she watch it after the rest of the cast completed filming?

I didn’t read it deliberately, as I had the same reaction I got from not watching Episode 8’s reaction. Watching it merely as a spectator resonated with me deeply, and I must admit that I’m eager to do so again. Although I know the general idea of Episode 9, being an actor means critiquing performance, and since I’m deeply involved in the story with my fellow cast members, I found myself yearning for the simplicity of watching as a regular viewer. So, I’m looking forward to seeing Episode 9 too.

As a movie buff, I was thrilled to learn that the cast of our show enjoys watching episodes collectively, so it was heartening to imagine that Vo might have savored the story’s unfolding alongside her fellow actors for the first time! Of course, by the close of the winter premiere, poor Vo seemed to be in a pretty tough spot, even though she didn’t appear onscreen at all. Fortunately for us fans, there’s no need to worry about Vo taking time off-camera to heal, as Vidotto has confirmed her return date!

It’s 10! It’s the one after 9. There’s a little bit of a time jump.

After the winter break, we won’t get to see Vo back in action until the next episode, as she was shot. However, her reaction to this event seems different compared to when Kellett decided to depart from the team following a suspenseful ending. It’s important to note that Vo’s injuries were not minor, so it’s unlikely that she’ll be fully recovered in a week. The actress has shared insights on how her recovery will unfold.

It requires more than a week for her to fully recover, possibly even several weeks or months. However, she’s tough, resilient, and a member of the elite Fly Team – not your average agent. To be part of this team, one must be prepared to risk their life, endure hardships, and continue serving for the sake of the Fly Team and safeguarding Americans.

As a film enthusiast, I pondered if the length of the winter hiatus – approximately two months from the fall finale in mid-December to the winter premiere in late January – might be utilized to depict Vo’s recovery in FBI: International. This approach would keep the show current without forcing Wes to sideline Vo, especially since Jesse Lee Soffer has consistently praised the relationship between Wes and Vo. Vidotto further speculated…

It seems we may not fully explore the depth of her trauma, but instead, it appears that Jo’s eagerness to rejoin the team could stem from feelings of having let the team down or needing to prove herself to Wes, who was her training officer at West Point. There might also be an element of this in her motivation.

It’ll be intriguing to find out if Vo confronts her feelings of having supposedly let down the Fly Team, as it seems unlikely that any other member of the team would share her perspective. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait to see Vo again, as she doesn’t seem to feature in the preview for Episode 10. Here’s a glimpse:

It’s apparent that whatever part Vo plays in Episode 10, it promises an enthralling continuation for Raines! Don’t miss out on CBS every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET for fresh installments of FBI: International.
