The Night Agent Season 3: Fola Evans-Akingbola Returns, Peter’s Big Secret?

It’s only been a week since “The Night Agent” Season 2 debuted on the 2025 TV lineup, but it’s no secret that Peter Sutherland’s adventures as part of Night Action won’t end there. In fact, news about “The Night Agent” Season 3 was announced last October! Ever since then, several new actors have been unveiled to join the Netflix-exclusive series. Today, we learned about three established “Night Agent” cast members who have been promoted for Season 3, with one of them being a familiar face from Season 1. This promotion might hint at some exciting developments for Peter in the upcoming episodes, and I have a hunch about what these could be!

Fola Evans-Akingbola Is Back To Being A Night Agent Series Regular

In the upcoming third season of “The Night Agent,” Fola Evans-Akingbola, known for her role as Chelsea Arrington, is set to return as a permanent cast member, much like she was in Season 1. Unlike Season 2, where she only appeared in the finale as a guest star. Similarly, Ward Horton and Albert Jones, who portray Governor Richard Hagan and Deputy Director of the FBI Aiden Mosley respectively, will also join the main cast for Season 3, according to Deadline’s reports.

At the conclusion of The Night Agent‘s first season, Chelsea Arrington took up an offer to join President Michelle Travers’ Secret Service detail, no longer required to safeguard Maddie Redfield. Intriguingly, in the final episode of Season 1, she was observed managing campaign security for Richard Hagan, a candidate poised to become the next U.S. President following his rival, Patrick Knox, withdrawing from the race. This turn of events occurred due to Jacob Monroe, the intelligence dealer, providing Hagan with the file Peter Sutherland had stolen from the United Nations. The file contained evidence that Knox had illegally sold the KX chemical weapon to Viktor Bala during his tenure as FBI director.

I Think Peter And Chelsea Will Team Up In The Night Agent Season 3

More Stories About The Night Agent

Following the Thrilling Battle Sequences in The Night Agent’s Season 2, It’s Clear I Have a Preferred One (And Gabriel Basso Seems to Agree Too)

I was quite surprised when I discovered that The Night Agent had already fallen from the top 10 on Netflix’s list, given its disadvantaged position.

In the finale of “The Night Agent” Season 2, Catherine Weaver assigned Peter a dual role as a spy against Jacob Monroe. Monroe had requested that Peter act as his informant in order to reveal the location where the KX was being produced and Rose Larkin was being kept captive. However, Catherine and Peter plan to uncover Richard Hagan’s ties with Monroe. To do this, they need to gather solid proof showing that these two individuals have been engaging in questionable activities.

Given that Fola Evans-Akingbola has returned as a main character, it’s plausible that Chelsea Arrington will be assigned to Hagan’s Secret Service detail in “The Night Agent” Season 3. If this is correct, it seems likely that Peter Sutherland and Chelsea will collaborate at some point. Initially, their collaboration might not occur immediately because if Chelsea perceives Peter as a threat to the president, she would take action to subdue him. However, once Peter successfully convinces her that Hagan and Monroe are corrupt, she may join forces with him in his quest for justice against them.

As Netflix has yet to announce the release date for “The Night Agent” Season 3, it looks like we’ll have to wait quite some time before finding out if my theory holds true. In the meantime, I can’t help but feel elated that Chelsea is once more making a significant impact in this universe.
