Ye Speaks on ‘Bully’ Release Date and Drake v. Kendrick Lamar Feud

Kanye West, for his latest studio album, has shared that it was inspired by his eldest daughter, North West. He even mentioned that North influences the release date of the album, with her stating that it should come out in June. When asked if this referred to his birthday or North’s, Kanye turned to North and reminded her that “Yeezus” was released on her birthday. North confirmed this, so we can expect the new album, titled “Bully,” to be released on North’s birthday, which is June 15th, making a summer release likely for the fans.

In the same interview, I was queried about the ongoing Drake versus Kendrick Lamar rivalry. LaBoy posed the question if I thought that “Kendrick outdid Drake, effectively ending him,” and while I concurred, I only see it as a temporary setback. You can’t underestimate Steph Curry; he might score 200 points in a single song or something unexpected. To put it simply, consider the Tyler, the Creator freestyle he did on ‘That Guy.’ Drake injected something new into our rhythm, our game. He moved us forward. Future did too. Now, Kendrick has taken us to another level. It’s like when Twista debuted; there were rappers who didn’t adapt, but then Jay-Z learned that you could do it. If you don’t learn as a professional rapper, as a sport, what Kendrick is doing, you might find yourself out of the game.
