On January 31, The Weeknd revealed the initial official trailer for the movie that accompanies his “Hurry Up Tomorrow” album, which was released on the same day.
Under the guidance of director Trey Edward Shults, known for movies like “Waves” and “It Comes At Night”, comes the film titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow”. This psychological thriller features The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) along with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan as its leading actors.
The main character, a troubled musician battling sleepless nights, finds himself embarking on a profound journey alongside an enigmatic figure who gradually peels back the layers of his identity.
In the compact two-minute preview, we catch a glimpse of the unfolding events, with fleeting scenes of a distressed Tesfaye and a voiceover saying, “Death holds no power; it’s as if nothing has changed at all. It is irrelevant.
“Stop self-doubting. You’re fucking invincible,” Keoghan tells Tesfaye as he cries on the floor.
The video shows Tesfaye both on stage during performances and off stage while partying and behaving in a risky manner. It also introduces Ortega, who seems to be his romantic interest.
Have a good examination of the initial images displayed in the gallery above, as the movie is set to hit theaters on May 16.
