The disturbingly captivating “vehicle horror” film by Julia Ducournau titled “Titane“, which made waves in 2021, will soon be available for free streaming. Beginning February 16, enthusiasts of the peculiar can stream Titane on a platform yet to be specified.

While there may be occasional commercial breaks, it’s fair to anticipate that you might require pauses during Titane. Indeed, it is that shocking.

In the film Titane, Agathe Rousselle portrays Alexia, a model who dances at an automobile exhibition. Her hair hides a significant scar on her head caused by a car accident she survived as a child, which left a metal plate in place. Alexia is an attractive woman who captivates car enthusiasts, and one of them attempts to attack her. When Alexia defends herself and fatally attacks the man, she triumphantly enters a Cadillac – if you’re brave enough to delve into this movie’s dark and unsettling world, you can discover what happens next.

In a different phrasing: Titane isn’t merely a steamy or mindless replica of Maximum Overdrive; it offers a unique perspective as its narrative unfolds into an intriguingly strange tale of human emotion. A New Body Horror Visionary

In her initial directorial venture, Ducournau challenged the norms with a movie that left audiences squirming uneasily. Even seasoned horror enthusiasts acknowledged that the 2016 film Raw pushed boundaries when its protagonist experimented with meat for the first time, exploring some intensely graphic themes to satisfy her character’s desires. In a fresh and unconventional manner, the film “Titane” combined elements of body horror with an unusual portrayal of desire, which some found offensive yet undeniably original. In the future, filmmaker Julia Ducournau will direct a project titled “Alpha.” This movie is set for distribution by Neon, known for their work on 2024’s “Longlegs” and 2025’s “The Monkey.” The story of “Alpha” unfolds in the ’80s and follows a teenager whose peers start spreading a rumor that she has contracted a rare illness. Given this plot, it seems likely that Ducournau will delve into body horror themes once more, much like her previous work that has earned her recognition as a contemporary master of body horror.

In February, additional titles joining Tubi are Liam Neeson’s action movies “Run All Night” and “Taken”, the romantic comedy “The Holiday”, and Halle Berry’s “Monster’s Ball”. If you prefer horror films, Tubi will also offer Stephen King’s “The Boogeyman” and “Misery”, two versions of “The Amityville Horror”, and the werewolf horror-comedy “The Wolf of Snow Hollow”.
