Frankfurt Steel Secrets Revealed in KCD2

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you don’t just have to acquire equipment; you can also craft your own at a blacksmith’s forge. This approach is not only budget-friendly, but it can lead to creating robust items with the right techniques. However, remember that this process requires materials, and Frankfurt Steel will be vital for many blueprints.

In the game KCD2, Frankfurt Steel isn’t overly elusive, however, before advancing in the main storyline, it could be tricky to obtain. As you progress, Frankfurt Steel will become more readily available for you.

Where to Buy Frankfurt Steel in KCD2

Obtaining a consistent supply of Frankfurt Steel can be achieved once you’ve met the requirements for accessing Trosky Castle, as the blacksmith within sells it. However, this milestone may require some time and progress through certain quests before it becomes accessible.

Initially, you should accomplish either the Wedding Crashers task assigned by the miller in Lower Semine or the blacksmith in Tachov. Completing just one of these tasks will lead you to attend a wedding in Semine, instantly triggering the For Whom The Bell Tolls quest at Trosky Castle. However, it’s important to note that this new quest also needs to be completed before your freedom can be restored.

Looting Frankfurt Steel in KCD2

As a devoted fan, I’ve come across several spots where Frankfurt Steel could be discovered as loot. Yet, it’s important to keep in mind that the unpredictable nature of loot containers in this game means that the treasures hidden within your saved chests may vary.

Semine

One chest we discovered is located in the barn of a local horse dealer in Semine. This particular chest has a medium-level lock, so you may want to refresh your skills in picklocking (as seen in KCD2) or search for the key that’s hanging on one of the downstairs wooden pillars, near the doors leading out to the horse pasture. It’s best to wait until midnight before retrieving the key. After unlocking the chest upstairs, you will find three pieces of Frankfurt Steel and other crafting materials, including a weapon blueprint.

Apollonia

In Apollonia, situated east of Trosky Castle, there’s another hidden chest. Follow the path indicated on your map, and when you reach the cave at its end, turn right and continue along the path. Keep venturing forth until you spot two sets of ladders, one ladder leading to another. Ascend the ladders, then proceed through the tunnel to your left.

In the heart of a spacious cave, you’ll find a solitary tree standing tall. Scattered around it is a mysterious locked box, and the key to this box is hidden beneath a skull near the tree. Upon opening the chest, you’ll discover two fragments of Frankfurt Steel, roughly 200 Groschen, and assorted trinkets.

Retrieve the jugs filled with Old Lunar Liquor hidden within this cavern. Not only do they boost numerous abilities significantly, but they also fetch a good sum of money.
