It appears that Joseph Quinn, poised to ignite the summer box office as Johnny Storm in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has hinted at a possible reprisal of his role within the A Quiet Place series. The actor was featured in the smash hit prequel from last year, A Quiet Place: Day One. At the end of the film, the outcome of Quinn’s character remains unclear, offering a tantalizing opportunity for him to reappear in a potential sequel.
When asked by Collider if he had discussed his character’s open-ended future with the filmmakers and the possibility of rejoining the franchise, Quinn replied, “Indeed, I did. I expressed that I should no longer meet my demise. Please spare my life… However, it remains undecided. Who can tell? Who can tell? We’ll see in time.
The blockbuster success of “A Quiet Place: Day One,” earning an estimated $241.4 million globally while only costing $67 million to produce, suggests that producers are eager for a sequel. Fortunately, producer Andrew Heineman (Quinn) is fully supportive, being a fan of the initial concept created by Bryan Woods, Scott Beck, and John Krasinski, who penned the first two movies in the series and directed both. For “Day One,” Krasinski and Woods teamed up with director Michael Sarnoski to write the script. Quinn expressed his enthusiasm for the project:
I adore being part of this world, and I’m immensely thankful to John for giving me this opportunity. It’s truly a privilege to work alongside such brilliant individuals. Stepping into the shoes of this franchise has been both exciting and enlightening. I find John’s sensitivity and eloquence in his writing simply extraordinary. So, who knows what lies ahead?
Quinn’s Involvement In a Rock and Roll Biopic Still Up in the Air
After his breakout role as Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, Quinn has experienced significant growth in his acting career. Besides A Quiet Place: Day One and Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, the actor has also made appearances. In the upcoming year, he will portray Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, in Fantastic Four: First Steps, an eagerly awaited Marvel production set for release on July 25, 2025.
After wrapping up the “Fantastic Four”, it’s said that Quinn is set to engage in a series of four biographical films about The Beatles, with Sam Mendes at the helm as director. Each movie will reportedly focus on a distinct member of the iconic group, the Fab Four. According to whispers, Quinn might be cast as George Harrison, while Paul Mescal is rumored to portray Paul McCartney in “Gladiator II”‘s sequel. Harris Dickinson could play John Lennon in “Babygirl”, and Barry Keoghan might take on the role of Ringo Starr in “Saltburn”. However, these casting decisions are not yet confirmed.
At Megacon 2025 (as reported by Screen Rant), when queried about the rumors regarding his potential casting and his preferred Beatle, Quinn somewhat declined to comment, saying to the audience, “I’m not sure I follow. I admire all of the Beatles. The person who takes on that role is going to have a fantastic experience.
It should be understood that Quinn hasn’t openly confirmed being cast as Harrison. If, in truth, director Mendes has selected him for the part, before a formal agreement is in place, the actor might need to keep silent until given permission to discuss it by those in charge.
