Jay Leno Drives Into ABC’s ‘Shifting Gears’

In the next episode of ABC’s “Shifting Gears,” Jay Leno will visit a different garage that isn’t his own.

Previously, the host of The Tonight Show will make a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of Tim Allen’s sitcom, airing on March 12th. Known for his passion for classic cars, Leno – who has hosted shows like Jay Leno’s Garage on CNBC following his departure from The Tonight Show – will take one of his vehicles to Matt’s (Allen) auto repair shop for some servicing.

Allen and Leno have been friends for a long time, dating back to when they were both up-and-coming comedians in the 1970s.

I’m thrilled to be among the select group of notable personalities gracing the debut season of “Shifting Gears”. Joining me are Jenna Elfman, who has a significant role throughout the series, and my fellow cast member from “Last Man Standing”, Nancy Travis. It’s going to be an exciting ride!

For the episode airing on March 12, the plot summary goes like this: Riley (Kat Dennings) is taken aback when she discovers cannabis sweets in Carter’s (Maxwell Simkins) pocket. This unexpectedly leads to counsel from Matt. On the other hand, Eve (Elfman) unwittingly gets Gabriel (Seann William Scott) and Stitch (Daryl Chill Mitchell) into trouble by asking them to contribute to a charity auction.

During the wildfires that occurred in Los Angeles during January, Leno lent a hand by preparing and serving meals for emergency responders, utilizing an antique 1941 fire truck.
