Avowed: All Fragments of Starmetal Locations for ‘Forged of Star-Stuff’ Quest

As I delved into the captivating world of Avowed, one of the earliest discoveries I made while traversing Dawnshore was a striking piece of Starmetal, marking the beginning of the quest ‘Forged of Star-Stuff‘. Although this quest can be initiated within the initial few hours of gameplay, it necessitates a journey to Solace Keep, located in the game’s final region, to complete it. Throughout my travels, I unearthed additional fragments of Starmetal in each region, adding intrigue and depth to my adventure.

In this walkthrough, I’ll show you the locations of each piece of Starmetal in Avowed, and I’ll also go over the rewards you’ll receive for finishing the Forged of Star-Stuff side mission. As a fellow enthusiast, I can’t wait to help you uncover the secrets of this intriguing game!

Dawnshore Starmetal Fragment

At Godless Altar east of Paradis, you can find Fragment of Starmetal placed on the altar itself.

Emerald Stair Starmetal Fragment

Locate more Starmetal fragments at Damp Burrow, the same place where you’ll encounter and battle against Iscern the troll chief.

Shatterscarp Starmetal Fragment

Near the top southeast side of the Abandoned Mine in Shatterscarp is another Fragment of Starmetal.

After spotting the entrance to the cave, veer to the left along the path to uncover a route leading to the upper part of the mine and the remnant.

Galawain’s Tusks Starmetal Fragment

As a gamer, here’s my take on that:

“In Ash Forest, I’ve got to track down the Starmetal Fragment. It’ll be a breeze to spot since collecting it will initiate the showdown with Destul for the bounty.

Forged of Star-Stuff Quest

Once you discover your first fragment of Starmetal, the mission ‘Crafted from Cosmic Dust’ will be recorded in your logbook. However, at that point, you won’t yet be aware of the specific destination where you should bring the material for its utilization.

In each location, feel free to chat with various vendors for some hints about your destination. Valtur at Claviger’s Landing will guide you towards Gweneth in Paradis. Gweneth then suggests Solace Keep, found in Galawain’s Tusk – the final region of the game. You can also gather similar tips from merchants like Stephan and Kampeki in Fior and Thirdborn.

After speaking with Forgemaster Dela at Solace Keep, he will present you with the choice between having him create a sword or an arquebus. Later on, if you supply him with additional starmetal, he will offer to enhance each of these weapons once apiece. When you give him all four pieces of available starmetal, Dela will craft and upgrade both weapons, thereby completing the quest.

Sword = Meteor Blade. Provide another starmetal to upgrade to Ondra’s Offense
Arquebus = Moonstrike. Provide another starmetal to upgrade to Heavenstrike.

Note: The weapon upgrades are straight-line upgrades to each weapon’s Physical Damage and Stun values. The other attributes of the weapons are not changed.

Lamenting Flurry – A Full Combo Attack gives the hit enemy -20% Damage for 15 seconds
- Crashing Tide – A Full Combo Attack gives the hit enemy -40% Damage for 15 seconds
- Tidecaller’s Revenge – A Successful Part Deals high Stun and Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
Freezing Lash – Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage

Moonstrike / Heavenstrike

Rifle: Two-Handed Range
Quality: Legendary
Ondra’s Storm – Power Attacks deal moderate Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
- Ondra’s Anger – Power Attacks deal high Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
- Lunar Champion – Killing an enemy give you +5% Damage Reduction for 10 seconds
Freezing Lash – Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage
