Amazon is making efforts to address the situation following Mandy Moore‘s statement that they delivered a package to her in-laws’ residence, which was unfortunately destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires.
On her Instagram story this week, the actress from “This Is Us” shared a photo of an Amazon delivery left at a house that was demolished, accompanied by the caption: “Amazon, let’s strive for more thoughtfulness. Couldn’t we have shown a bit more sensitivity by not delivering to a home that no longer stands? This is my in-laws’ residence.”
In her Instagram story this week, the actress from “This Is Us” criticized Amazon for delivering a package to a demolished house with the following message: “Amazon, can you please be more mindful? It seems there was no need to deliver to a home that is now gone. This is where my in-laws used to live.”
Or even more casually:
On her Instagram story this week, the actress from “This Is Us” called out Amazon for sending a package to a house that no longer exists. She wrote: “Amazon, let’s show some empathy and avoid delivering to homes that are gone. This used to be where my in-laws lived.
As a dedicated fan, I’m relieved to share that Amazon has acknowledged their mistake towards the actress and is currently investigating the issue, as reported to NBC News.
Amazon’s representative, Steve Kelly, stated that those responsible for our deliveries were previously instructed to exercise caution in regions affected by wildfires, particularly when it comes to homes that have been damaged. Unfortunately, it appears that such discretion wasn’t applied in this specific case.
Apart from losing her house in the flames, Moore expressed her deep sorrow on Instagram, using words like “devastated” and “completely numb.” Following this unfortunate incident, Moore and her loved ones took refuge at the residence of their friend, Hilary Duff, along with her spouse.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: “Ever since I’m that character from ‘A Walk to Remember’, I’ve been keeping my fans posted about my house situation via Instagram. On the 9th of January, I shared that the main part of my home miraculously remained standing.
Last Tuesday, Moore shared a post on Instagram, complete with a picture of her burnt house, reflecting on the past month in her caption. In part, it read: “We didn’t receive an evacuation warning. In the calmer moments when I ponder over the last month, I imagine what could have happened if my phone wasn’t beside me, playing my usual ‘piano for deep sleep’ mix as I was nursing Lou before bed, so I could answer my brother-in-law’s call?
Recently, Sterling K. Brown, a co-star on Moore’s “This Is Us”, shared some insights about their current state: “I spoke with Milo and Mandy, I talked to them both. It’s tough. They’re really immersed in everything that’s happening. Each day is a new challenge for them.
