- The second part of Pokemon TCG Pocket’s latest Wonder Pick event is underway
- It introduces new Chimchar-themed accessories and a Poke Ball avatar icon
- There are also missions to complete so you can snag all those new goodies
Just like we’ve come to expect, the Pokemon TCG Pocket is kicking off the second phase of its most recent Wonder Pick event. From now until February 21st, you can look forward to acquiring fresh items and embarking on new missions!
If you took part in the initial stage, you’d realize that this Wonder Pick event is fantastic for fans of Chimchar. While I don’t have a particular fondness for this little creature myself, it’s unlikely to make it into my top 100 Pokemon any time soon. Nevertheless, you now have the opportunity to acquire a Chimchar-themed Pokemon coin, card sleeve, and playmat, which showcases its evolutions, Monferno and Infernape.
If you find flaming monkeys unappealing, maybe the Poke Ball icon could be appealing to you instead? Frankly, I feel the same way. However, since it seems essential in every deck, it might make a good choice for someone’s avatar. To me, it’s a bit ordinary. For now, I’ll keep using my knitted Electrode until something more intriguing catches my eye.
It’s monkey business in Pokemon TCG Pocket
As for the missions, they’re fairly straightforward. Complete six Wonder Picks, collect 10 Fire and Psychic-Types, and you’re done. One Wonder Pick nets you 100 Trade Tokens, while completing the remaining missions earns you varying amounts of Event Shop Ticket. So, you could get those squared away fairly quickly if you’re determined and armed to the teeth with Wonder Hourglass.
Don’t worry if you missed the start of the Wonder Pick event – it’s running until February 21st! You can still get hold of all the initial items, such as a Chimchar backdrop and cover, along with a Cave of Crystals backdrop. There are also promotional cards up for grabs – one is a Chimchar card, and the other is an adorable Togepi card!
