Over the last ten years, Kirti Kulhari has risen to be one of the most desired performers in Bollywood. She balanced her education, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from a Mumbai college, before acting caught her interest. After dabbling in theater and appearing in various TV ads, she entered the entertainment world. The actress who starred in Uri: The Surgical Strike is none other than Kirti Kulhari.
The 39-year-old actress hails from a family where her father served in the Indian Navy, and her mother was a housewife. A native of Mumbai, she gained recognition through various TV commercials before gracing Abhijit Saawant’s music video for “Junoon” and appearing in Babbu Mann’s Punjabi track “Mitran Di Chatri.
In 2010, I embarked on my journey as a Bollywood actress with the movie “Khichdi: The Movie,” and subsequently joined the cast of “Shaitan” in June 2011. Over time, I’ve been fortunate to be a part of numerous films. However, my big break arrived when I starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the legal thriller film “Pink.” Following this, I had the privilege of portraying the lead role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s period political thriller film, “Indu Sarkar.
After a short while, she became prominent in various films such as Blackmail with Irrfan Khan, and Mission Mangal alongside Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, among others. Kirti was highly praised for her portrayal of Flight Lieutenant Seerat Kaur in the war film Uri: The Surgical Strike, led by Vicky Kaushal.
Among her various endeavors are the Netflix film “The Girl On The Train”, as well as “Shaadisthan”, “Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan”. Previously, she played Inspector Poonam Joshi in Ashwni Dhir’s satirical action-comedy, “Hisaab Barabar”, which earned her much praise. More recently, she appeared in Himesh Reshammiya’s film titled “Badass Ravi Kumar”.
Beyond demonstrating her talent across numerous films, Kirti has also taken on significant and impactful roles in various web series. Some of her highly regarded performances are found in Four More Shots Please!, Bard of Blood, Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors, Human, and Shekhar Home. In the year 2022, Kulhari ventured into production by establishing her production company, Kintsukuroi Films.
