Following a multi-year production process, “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” proved to be an excellent choice for patience. Making its grand premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival as part of the Midnight Screening selection, this action-packed film hit cinemas in May and has since secured the position of the second highest-grossing domestic movie ever shown in Hong Kong. “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” now boasts an impressive rating of 90% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, along with 84% approval from viewers on Popcornmeter.
Apart from garnering both financial and critical acclaim, “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” has also earned a number of awards since its debut. Among these honors is the Stunt Award at the 29th Satellite Awards. Additionally, this martial arts film has been nominated for several prestigious accolades at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Raymond Lam), and Best Action Choreography.
