Earthly Aegis treasure map solution in Avowed

In the game Avowed, the Earthly Aegis treasure map might be the most enigmatic puzzle of them all, providing only a rough sketch of a ruined structure hidden within a woodland. Obsidian, can you imagine how broad that search area is? I spent countless hours traversing the forest before locating the correct ruin, and even then, it took considerable effort to gain entry.

Setting off on my own adventure, I recommend making your way to the camp and canteen area situated beyond Naku Tedek in Emerald Stair first. From there, follow a fallen tree trunk that serves as a bridge to an ancient ruin – that’s where the real fun begins! Keep in mind, though, that this treasure doesn’t require a map for discovery, and frankly, this one might not be much help at all. Happy hunting!

During your stay, consider picking up the Effigy Necklace close by, which is useful for finishing the Totem of Defiance, and also obtain Fleccia’s map for the Mapping the Living Lands mission.

Earthly Aegis treasure map solution

The Earthly Aegis treasure is hidden within ruins nestled in Delemgan Glade, situated to the north of the Wildwoods Plateau campsite, prior to reaching the Godless Sinkhole. To access it, you’ll first need to activate a control panel before unlocking the entrance.

The Earthly Aegis treasure is concealed in ruins situated within Delemgan Glade, north of Wildwoods Plateau campsite and preceding Godless Sinkhole. To unveil it, you’ll have to flip a switch before the door can be opened.

To reach this location:

  1. Travel to the Wildwoods Plateau camp and walk north to the tower ruin ahead of you, hugging the stone wall to the right
  2. Just before reaching the tower, turn right and walk along the tree trunk leading behind it
  3. Press the small round button on the right side of the window covered by roots
  4. Go back the way you came to return to the front of the tower ruin, where the door will now be open so you can loot the chest

Be aware that the button you need to press is a bit touchy. When you’re carefully navigating along the tree that extends over a vast abyss, you’ll need to find the perfect angle to successfully interact with it.

As a dedicated gamer, unveiling the Earthly Aegis treasure map leads me to the Nature’s Ward shield. This protective gear offers an intriguing twist: deflecting a physical attack not only safeguards me but also weakens my adversary. On top of that, it boasts a 50% likelihood of banishing the irritating poison status when I’m affected. Once I’ve built up more stamina, this shield becomes indispensable, reducing my need for unique shields with stamina-boosting properties. And let’s face it, anything that wards off the pesky poison effect is a welcome addition to my gaming arsenal.
