Filmmakers Raj & DK, along with Rahi Anil Barve, have spoken up about the speculations surrounding their upcoming series, Gulkanda Tales and Rakt Bramhand. On social media platform X (previously known as Twitter), they expressed their sentiments on the hurdles they encounter, opting for resilience over irritation. In response to rumors suggesting that Gulkanda Tales has been postponed and financial mishaps impacting Rakt Bramhand, they simply stated, “Life will continue to throw challenges at us.
It has been implied that the release of Gulkanda Tales, a historical sex comedy on Prime Video, might have been postponed following speculation. This adult-themed production, helmed by Barve and produced by Raj & DK, boasts a talented ensemble including Kunal Kemmu, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. On the flip side, Rakt Bramhand, an action fantasy series on Netflix featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi, seems to be encountering financial difficulties. Rumors suggest that an executive producer is accused of embezzling between Rs 2-3 crore from the production, exacerbating the situation.
In their statement, Raj and DK admitted that difficulties are an inherent aspect of their industry. They described instances where unexpected events arise to derail their strategies, during which they must decide on a course of action. For them, the solution has consistently been apparent—to remain determined, work more diligently, and continually aim for improvement.
Apart from being engrossed in the creation of their most extensive project thus far, having concluded season 3 of The Family Man and juggling various films and series in pre-production, they took a pause to savor their current situation. They openly acknowledged that they are right where they aspire to be—continuously weaving tales, executing them as they envision, collaborating with their cherished colleagues, and committing themselves wholeheartedly to their endeavors across the year.
Life’s challenges persist; there will be theft, betrayal, and gossip. Yet, the most effective response appears to be perseverance. Keep pushing boundaries and continuing to share fresh, unique narratives. This has always been the commitment.
In a similar vein, film director Rahi Anil Barve expressed a comparable thought. He wrote, “Occasionally, events occur that disrupt the norm. It’s up to us to decide how to respond. Keep things coming, work more diligently, strive for improvement.
Affirming the schedule, he mentioned, “Next in rotation: Rakt Brahmand on Netflix and Gulkanda Tales on Prime. Also, Pahadpangira in cinemas. Regardless of the obstacles ahead, I won’t falter!” In spite of the difficulties they encounter, these three filmmakers stay committed to their ventures like Gulkanda Tales and Rakt Bramhand.
