How to sell and claim stolen horses in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In the hypothetical game “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2”, horses tend to be rather pricey. However, a pair of horses can be obtained free of charge as part of the main plot. The majority of other horses are sold by merchants scattered across the map. Luckily, for those who prefer sneaky tactics, a costly horse acquisition could potentially become a profitable venture if you’re skilled at thievery.

In the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, swiping horses can be done swiftly and effortlessly if you manage to remain inconspicuous among other characters. When you draw near to a horse, you’ll discover a “ride and make off with it” option, which allows you to climb aboard the horse and flee from any possible witnesses.

Instead of attempting this during the day when there are plenty of people about, which increases the chance of being spotted, consider waiting until nightfall when fewer individuals are around. If your skills in stealth aren’t top-notch, smaller towns could offer a better opportunity to avoid detection. However, if you’re proficient in pilfering items, unlocking doors, and moving quietly through private property, you might find it less challenging to acquire the horse regardless of the location.

After successfully making off with a horse, take it to the Nomad Camp located west of Zhelejov. There, you’ll encounter a man named Horse Handler Mikolai who is known for buying stolen horses. To reach him, simply approach him with your horse, have a chat, and choose the “Horse Black Market” option from the menu.

When I mention my interest in selling my horse to him, he’ll propose a price. I can either agree, decline, or negotiate for a better deal. Typically, I might receive a few hundred Groschen, but if the horse has outstanding (or poor) attributes, the price could be significantly higher.

If you prefer not to sell the horse and wish to keep it as your loyal friend, consider opting for the “Purchase” option within Mikolai’s undercover horse market menu. He’ll inform you that he can facilitate the transaction, but remember, it won’t come cheap. As always, you have the choice to accept his terms, decline, or negotiate a lower price.
