Chloe Fineman still has some work to do on her Harry Styles impression.
During a conversation with Amelia Dimoldenberg from Chicken Shop Date on the red carpet at the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, she shared that she finds the English Grammy-winning singer less than impressive.
Or:
Amelia Dimoldenberg from Chicken Shop Date, whom I met on the red carpet at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special, told me she thinks the English Grammy-winning singer isn’t all that great.
Or:
At the 50th anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live on the red carpet, Amelia Dimoldenberg from Chicken Shop Date expressed her poor opinion of the English Grammy-winning singer.
All three sentences convey the same meaning but with slight variations in wording and structure.
At first, Fineman began imitating Dimoldenberg, who, like himself, is British. “It’s as if I’m gazing at my reflection,” Dimoldenberg jokingly remarked, followed by a question, “Is there an impersonation that you can’t master?”
To begin with, Fineman took on the persona of Dimoldenberg, who, similarly, hails from England. “It feels like I’m staring at my own image,” Dimoldenberg quipped humorously, then inquired, “Is there an impression you can’t pull off?
Fineman playfully commented, ‘As you can see,’ before confessing, ‘Actually, Harry Styles isn’t very good.’ She reminisced about mimicking him during his appearance on SNL.”
Or
“Fineman quipped, ‘Clearly, it’s you,’ then admitted, ‘But let me tell you, Harry Styles isn’t great.’ She shared memories of impersonating him when he was on SNL.”
Both versions maintain the original meaning and flow while using more conversational language.
I completed the task, and she appeared quite disheartened, overwhelmed by its poor outcome,” Fineman explained as she attempted a British accent. “However, let me clarify, I’m none other than Harry Styles.
“Sorry, is Harry in the room right now?” Dimoldenberg quipped.
Harry Styles, known for his hit “As It Was,” had previously hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 2019 and has frequently graced the show as a musical guest throughout the years. During the recent episode, Fineman didn’t specify which sketch the impersonation was based on, as Styles and Fineman hadn’t shared the screen in a live SNL skit before this occasion.
Fineman was part of a large group that included current and past SNL actors, along with many top-tier celebrities, who attended the SNL50 event over the weekend. Despite Styles’ absence from the anniversary performance, other artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Paul Simon, Miley Cyrus, Brittany Howard, Lil Wayne, The Roots, and Paul McCartney performed throughout the celebration.
Notably, a variety of additional musicians took the stage at the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert held at Radio City Music Hall on Friday. This impressive lineup included Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Backstreet Boys, Arcade Fire, and others.
In addition to the main acts, numerous artists joined the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall on Friday. These included Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Backstreet Boys, Arcade Fire, and more.
Or, for a more conversational tone:
