2021 has been a challenging beginning for Saif Ali Khan and his relatives. Kunal Kemmu recently disclosed an emotional episode from the past few months when he learned about the assault on his brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan, back in January 16th. The incident occurred at Saif’s residence in Bandra, where he suffered several stab wounds. Kunal shared that he was informed of the shocking event at 6 a.m., and had to inform his wife, Soha Ali Khan, while they were getting their daughter, Innaya, ready for school.
During a conversation with ANI, Kunal Kemmu shared his thoughts about that alarming morning. He mentioned, “The immediate concern was whether Saif was safe. Once we confirmed he was out of harm’s way, all the surrounding noise seemed irrelevant because that was the only thing of importance.
After learning about the incident, Kunal had to inform Saif Ali Khan’s sister, Soha Ali Khan.
Kunal commented, “It’s quite peculiar how fear affects us. I found myself in a dilemma when sharing some news with her. We were preparing our child for school, and suddenly I was hit by this information without any additional details. So, should I take her to school now or not? These thoughts were swirling around in my head.
Stricken by the news, it greatly upset Soha and Kunal, causing a disruption in their usual activities. Nonetheless, they resolved to enroll Innaya in school, even as Kunal couldn’t help but be preoccupied with concerns about the recent incident.
It wasn’t until later in the day that Kunal and Soha found out more about what had transpired earlier. That’s when Kunal exclaimed, “We should head over there,” and they began to piece together the specifics regarding the incident.
During an argument with an intruder at his residence, Saif Ali Khan sustained several stab wounds, one of which was to his spinal area. This individual, wearing a mask and wielding two knives, entered Saif’s son Jeh’s room around 2 a.m., asking for money.
In a bold move, I stood up to face my adversary, leading to an intense altercation that left me severely wounded. Subsequently, I was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai and underwent surgery. For the next five days, I remained hospitalized before finally returning home.
Despite the lingering anxiety and aftermath of the incident, Kunal underscored that Saif had already given a comprehensive account, requiring no additional information.
Kunal Kemmu and his family are standing by Saif as he recovers, all while attempting to resume their regular lives. Even amidst the stress, Saif has managed to attend the wedding celebrations of his wife Kareena Kapoor’s cousin Aadar Jain.
