In the main mission of Avowed called Animancy Method, players will depart from Dawnshore and venture into the Emerald Stair region. As they delve deeper into the Dreamscourge, they’ll encounter Giatta who directs them to speak with an Animancer named Elia Rosell. Upon meeting Elia, she’ll request a favor: eliminating one of her preferred revenants within a barn. Navigating to the barn can be tricky, but here’s how you do it.
How to Get Inside Elia’s Barn & Take Out Silvo in Avowed
In the game “Avowed,” Elia can be found at a place called “Elia’s Revenant Farm, located south of Coastal Farms.” You’ll find her examining a corpse there. Feel free to approach and ask her about Giatta and the Dreamscourge. However, before she responds to your query, you’ll need to help her out with something first.
Helping Elia Search the Revenant’s Corpse
Elia wants you to investigate the body lying there to determine why this resurrected undead didn’t perform its duty. To do so, you’ll have to examine the corpse, and in return, you’ll receive an item. Handing over the item to Elia will meet her requirements and also earn you some compensation. Once that’s done, you can attempt to discuss Giatta and the Dreamscourge plague with her again.
Taking Down Silvo in the Barn
On this occasion, Elia will require a slightly larger favor from you. One of her cherished reanimated creatures named Silvo has fallen into disrepair and must be terminated. You can locate Silvo in the barn directly behind Elia, so it’s time for you to go there and take care of this problem with the revenant.
The entrance to the barn is secured with a lock, so you’ll have to find another route. Although there are no visible windows on the front, there’s a secret opening hidden among the rocks on the right side of the barn. Follow this passage, and it will lead you to the side of the barn. There, you’ll see a window to your right that has been boarded up. Break through it, and you’ll gain access to the barn.
In simpler terms, Silvo isn’t a tough foe to conquer. You can usually block most of his attacks or use freeze spells against them, which will allow you to defeat him quickly with a special move. After Silvo is defeated, go back to Elia and inform her that the task is accomplished. Then, continue talking to her about Giatta and the Dreamscourge, which will mark the completion of the main quest in the Animancy Method in Avowed.
