On February 23rd (last Sunday), Varun Dhawan shared an adorable photo where he was watching the historic India vs Pakistan match from a couch. What made this post extra special was that his daughter, Lara, was there too, cheering for India with him. In the picture, we could see Lara sitting on her dad’s lap, and her face was covered by a yellow heart emoji.
Not only was the Border 2 actor’s dog Joey in the photo, but he was perched on the couch as well. Recently, Varun was spotted coming back to Mumbai after wrapping up the filming of Border 2, starring Sunny Deol and helmed by Anurag Singh. This upcoming war-drama also includes Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in significant roles. Produced by JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, the much-anticipated movie is scheduled for release in cinemas on January 23, 2026.
Last year in June, the long-awaited follow-up to the 1997 release titled “Border” was formally unveiled. The creators boasted that this upcoming production would be recognized as India’s largest war film.
Varun also has No Entry 2 in the pipeline, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.
