Thanks to this newfound approval, over 6,000 firms in the DIFC—think of them as the financial equivalent of a bustling bazaar—can now use USDC and EURC for all sorts of digital shenanigans, from asset services to payments, and even treasury management. Circle, the company behind this stablecoin wizardry, has been busy playing nice with regulators around the globe. In a statement that could only be described as “strategically vague,” Dante Disparte, Circle’s Chief Strategy Officer, declared, “The DFSA’s approval of USDC and EURC as recognized crypto tokens within the DIFC is yet another validation of our constructive approach to regulatory and policy engagement.” Which, in layman’s terms, means they’re really good at playing the regulatory game.
