Game of Thrones: Kingsroad debuts playable demo for Steam Nextfest ahead of mobile release

  • Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is set to release its first playable demo at Steam Nextfest
  • This’ll be the first time players get their hands on this action RPG adaptation of the book series
  • Game of Thrones: Kingsroad sees you step into the shoes of a newly-minted heir to House Tyre

Among Netmarble’s eagerly awaited upcoming titles is the action RPG Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. Although George R.R. Martin has consistently stated that he won’t complete the series, this captivating fantasy saga remains popular among many, largely due to the acclaimed HBO series. Soon, fans will have a chance to experience the demo version of this game during Steam’s Nextfest event, which runs until March 3rd!

As a dedicated fan, I eagerly anticipate the mobile release of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, which appears to be focusing primarily on PC at first. Although it’s not ideal to wait our turn, this decision gives us a chance to truly gauge the game’s quality when players finally get their hands on it.

If you’re not already familiar, Steam Nextfest functions as a large-scale digital event, highlighting upcoming games. It primarily features playable demos, allowing both established publishers and small independent developers to offer gamers an initial opportunity to try out their forthcoming releases.

There’s no denying the reassurance that prioritizing PC first brings. It’s undeniable that one distinctive trait of the PC gaming community is their knack for critique and expressing their opinions. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to exploitation in mobile gaming, but if Netmarble plans to release a subpar game, players will certainly voice their displeasure once they get their hands on the demo.
