₹50K Crore in AI for Assam? Ambani’s Techy Plot Thickens 🤖💰

In a stroke of entrepreneurial bravado, the estimable Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, has deigned to sprinkle the golden dust of artificial intelligence upon the verdant fields of Assam. At the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, he spoke with the fervor of a missionary, vowing to make the north-eastern state “tech ready and AI ready,” as if it were a child in need of a smartphone for its birthday.

According to Ambani, the grand plan involves doubling down on Assam’s digital destiny with an investment exceeding ₹50,000 crore in the next half-decade. The vision? An AI temple, a data centre where the pious students may kneel before AI-assisted teachers, doctors may consult their AI oracles, and farmers may till the soil with the aid of AI deities. A veritable Silicon Valley in the midst of tea plantations!

He also suggested that Assam’s youth could learn and earn from the comfort of their homes, presumably without ever having to don a shirt and tie. 🏠💰

The Times of India reports that this digital alchemy is meant to bolster India’s online presence and align with the company’s grand scheme to sprinkle AI fairy dust across the nation.

Industry sages predict this will elevate India to the AI throne, a global leader in all things data-driven. And if that weren’t enough, Reliance also has its eye on tourism, green energy, agriculture, and food processing, promising to conjure thousands of jobs out of thin air, like a magician at a children’s party.

One must remember, however, that in 2008, Reliance Industries promised ₹5,000 Crore to Assam, only to exceed it with ₹12,000 Crore. Now, with this AI escapade, it seems the company is determined to make Assam not only the land of the one-horned rhino but also the land of the thousand-eyed AI behemoth.
