The Chrisley family’s legal issues have primarily involved Todd and Julie, who are currently serving prison terms. Earlier this year, one of their children also faced legal trouble. Chase Chrisley, aged 28, was apprehended in January for accusations that he struck a bar manager and threw a chair at him. After the event, his attorney refuted the allegations. Now, the former reality TV personality himself has given his version of events.
It’s said that an incident occurred at Twin Peaks bar in Georgia on January 6. The manager, Brendon Nash, is believed to have phoned 911, stating that a customer was intoxicated and belligerent in the establishment, and had attacked him with a chair. As he spoke on the phone, Nash claimed that Chase Chrisley struck him, and this alleged slap could be heard in the recording made afterwards. Chrisley apparently departed from the scene before the police arrived.
Ultimately, the star of Chrisley Knows Best found himself in Fulton County Jail on January 9. Officers took him into custody under suspicion of a misdemeanor simple battery charge, but later released him on a $10,000 bond. In response to the allegations, Chase spoke with DailyMail.com and refuted claims that he physically assaulted the manager. He believes the incident has been exaggerated due to his fame, stating it’s been “blown out of proportion.” Additionally, he expressed his belief that the situation is overly sensationalized because of who he is.
In Atlanta, there was no instance where I struck another person. That scenario never unfolded. If I were to physically engage with someone, it would be more than just a slap. I wouldn’t resort to such a light altercation. While the other individual and I may have exchanged heated words, I didn’t retaliate with violence. If I weren’t who I am today, that particular situation might have played out differently.
Regarding Brendon Nash, it’s said that he refused medical aid when the police arrived at the bar. According to a police report, Nash allegedly mentioned that one of his employees told him that Mr. Chrisley was a well-known celebrity. However, it’s not clear if the manager knew this information during his alleged encounter with the USA Network star and learned it afterwards.

Savannah Chrisley candidly discusses her challenges as a surrogate mother, reflecting on the difficulties she’s faced during this process while her parents are in custody.
Despite his own legal matters, Chase Chrisley has been primarily focused on the developments regarding his parents. In 2022, Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty of bank fraud, tax evasion, and other charges, and they began their prison terms early in 2023. Todd was given a 12-year sentence at the now-closing Federal Prison Camp in Florida, while Julie is serving a seven-year term at the Lexington Medical Center in Kentucky.
The Chrisley children have openly discussed the situation involving Chase and sister Savannah, who has spoken out about her parents’ experiences in jail on her podcast named “Unlocked“. During this podcast, Savannah claimed that her mother lived with rattlesnakes, while Chase asserted that neither of their parents had any access to air conditioning. In a chat with DailyMail, Chase referred to his parents’ arrests as “bogus”, and suggested they were “singled out” due to their fame status, as they believe they were targeted.
The media personality and his siblings, who are known for championing their family’s causes, have also been working towards launching a fresh Chrisley family reality TV series. In a past interview, Chase hinted that this potential show would not avoid discussing their parents’ ongoing legal matters. Regarding his own situation, it appears that Chase is prepared to leave behind the controversy surrounding the alleged bar altercation.
