2022 saw the arrival of Malti Marie, daughter of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Their loved ones frequently post heartfelt moments with baby Malti on social media. In an exclusive chat with TopMob, Madhu Chopra expressed gratitude for being Malti’s grandmother. She also commended her daughter Priyanka and Nick for providing a ‘wonderful’ environment for their child to grow up in.
In a recent interview with TopMob, Madhu Chopra was questioned about making up for the time she missed with her daughter Priyanka Chopra by spending time with her granddaughter Malti Marie. Instead of compensating, she stated that bonding and staying with Malti is a privilege and an honor to her.
She further explained that being a grandmother and being part of her grandchild’s life is a significant honor and a substantial privilege. It should not be the case, as God forbid, that today’s children only see their parents by taking appointments, and they bring their children only during holidays.

During the conversation, Madhu Chopra expressed that becoming a grandmother was “the highest level of achievement” or “the pinnacle of my qualifications”; she described it as truly wonderful to be a grandma.
The doctor added that she had indulged Malti Marie quite a bit, and she enjoyed this pampering.
In response to being asked if Malti enjoyed visiting India, Madhu Chopra stated, “She attended a wedding and stayed at my house for two days. She was extremely happy; my entire family was with me. She formed good connections with everyone. Since she knew it was family, there was no hesitation on her part.
Madhu Chopra emphasized that both Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are providing a great upbringing for their child, as she put it.
