The new season of Black Mirror is said to be a return — in more ways than one. In the newly released trailer for Season 7, it looks like more than a few characters and episodes will be revisited, including the now iconic ”USS Callister” episode from Season 4. And according to series creator Charlie Brooker, this new batch of episodes will also be a return to form for fans of the darkly satirical and at-times harrowing anthology series.
Brooker described Season 7 of Black Mirror, premiering on Netflix on April 10, 2025, as returning to its roots, or “something akin to classic Black Mirror.” He explained that the season will be heavily focused on science fiction narratives, which is a shift from the recent seasons’ emphasis on horror. However, he warned that while there may not be traditional horror elements, the content remains unsettling and disturbing.
However, we encourage you not to simply rely on our description. Instead, check out the latest trailer and initial pictures of the sequel to “USS Callister” which are showcased in the following section.

From the streamer, we’ve received some initial glimpses that offer intriguing insights about the role of USS Callister in both the upcoming sequel and the overall season plot.
Additionally coming back this season are actors Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry, who played Tuckersoft employees Colin Ritman and Mohan Thakur in the 2018 interactive movie “Bandersnatch”. They will be reprising their roles, likely adding new layers to their characters as well. As Chaudhry said, “Charlie is a twisted genius in the best way possible. I can’t wait for fans to see this episode. It may be a world we’ve visited before, but it could just get more messed up if that’s even possible.
Without a doubt, I can’t help but revisit the first six seasons of this remarkable series before April 10th. The anticipation for its upcoming chapter, brimming with predictive tales, is simply irresistible!
