Resident Evil 3 arrives on iPhone, iPad and Mac today

  • Resident Evil 3 is out now on iPhone, iPad and Mac
  • It takes players back to Raccoon City and sees veteran survivor Jill Valentine take on new horror
  • The fan-favourite Nemesis makes a return in this return to form for survival horror

While it may be the black sheep of the modern remakes, I’m almost certain there’ll be plenty of you out there who are excited to find out that Resident Evil 3 is arriving on iPhone, iPad and Mac today! Joining Capcom’s existing top lineup of releases on the platform, it takes horror aficionados back to the mean streets of Raccoon City.

This time around the perspective switches to series veteran Jill Valentine in the early hours of the Raccoon City outbreak. But as the city goes to hell in a handbasket, things are getting a lot worse for Officer Valentine than just vicious man-eating zombies and mutated monsters.

That’s because, while Raccoon City 3 includes the classic over-the-shoulder switch that was made in the Resi 2 remake, it sees the return of the fan-favourite enemy Nemesis. This particularly tenacious boss will pop up all around Raccoon City as you try to escape, and while he may not be quite as omnipresent as in the original, when he does make an appearance, it’s a sign to be very frightened.

As a dedicated Apple enthusiast, I can attest that showcasing the prowess of their mobile devices remains an effective and engaging way to do so, even amidst the seeming disappearance of the much-anticipated Vision Pro from public view.

So, if you’re looking to jump back into survival horror, now’s the best time to do so!
