Instead of immediately diving into another “The Last of Us” title, Naughty Dog has revealed their focus is shifting towards a completely new intellectual property called “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet“.
As fans eagerly anticipate updates on Neil Druckmann’s science fiction game, developers at Naughty Dog have opted to unveil a shared cosmetic design for The Last of Us Part II Remastered instead.
Ellie will Get Intergalactic
According to an official announcement by Naughty Dog, the jacket worn by Jordan in “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” is set to appear as a costume option for Ellie in “The Last of Us Part II Remastered”. Here’s the link to the original post: [Official Post]
According to the official blog post on ND, players using PS5 or PC can acquire the jacket by earning in-game points. To do so, they must have a PlayStation Network account. Once they’ve earned 50 of these points, they can unlock bonus features and the “Intergalactic” skin.
So far, there isn’t a lot known about Jordan A. Mun, who is a bounty hunter. However, his puffy red jacket seems to give off the feel of the anime “Akira” or perhaps Michael Jackson’s jacket from “Thriller.”
We don’t know much about Jordan A. Mun yet, but his red puffy coat reminds me of either Akira or Michael Jackson’s Thriller jacket.
PC Players are Coming to Party
Originally, The Last of Us was exclusive to PlayStations, but in light of the Streaming Wars, it’s more advantageous for businesses to make games accessible on multiple platforms.
Hey there, gaming community! I’ve been absolutely loving the incredible lineup of exclusives Sony has been delivering, from God of War to Final Fantasy. But here’s something intriguing: Xbox recently announced they’re shifting their exclusive model. Now, it seems like Sony might be considering a similar change—at least for some games. Excited to see what the future holds!
Initially, when a new game is launched exclusively on one platform, it’s only accessible there for a specific period. After this time-bound exclusivity ends, usually after several years or months, the game becomes available on all other platforms. This strategy has been employed by Xbox with “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” while PlayStation has used it with titles like “Horizon,” “Death Stranding,” and most recently, “The Last of Us Part II.
TLOU Part II on PC
After five long years, we’re finally getting our hands on “The Last of Us Part II” on PC! Since its initial release in 2020, this game has been a technical masterpiece, and Naughty Dog is making sure it performs flawlessly even on the most cutting-edge PC setups.
In addition to the enhanced characteristics in the Remastered, you can expect some extra maps for the game mode “No Return“, as well as two new characters, Bill, who plays like a Smuggler, and Marlene, who has a Risk-Taker playstyle.
Although Druckmann warns fans not to expect ‘The Last of Us Part III’ in the immediate future, many fans interpret this as a playful remark and anticipate that Ellie and Abby’s story might conclude at some point down the road.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered launches for PC on April 3.
