Actress Karisma Kapoor, a highly esteemed figure in Bollywood, is well-known for her numerous successful films and enduring roles. Recently, during an exclusive interview with TopMob, choreographer Ganesh Acharya disclosed that Karisma’s mother, Babita Kapoor, had a significant impact on the production of the film “Goriya Chura Na Mera Jiya” when she was working alongside Govinda. He explained that Babita’s persistent request for a specific dance move ultimately resulted in an injury to Karisma during filming.
In conversation with TopMob, when asked about Karisma Kapoor apparently bleeding during the filming of the song “Goriya Chura Na”, Ganesh Acharya affirmed this by stating, “Yes, indeed, that was a knee movement incident. Her mother, Babita ji, played a significant role in it.

In simpler terms, Babita ji inquired as to why Govinda was performing alone since originally it was meant to be a solo act. I clarified that Karisma was wearing shorts, hence, the knee movement was significant, and suggested they should show and encourage her to participate.
Ganesh Acharya explained, “I was so nervous that I made my assistant perform it instead, and unfortunately, Karisma couldn’t speak up. She had to repeat the move wearing those shorts and slipping on her knees.
After the scene was filmed, it turned out that Karisma’s knees had become scraped. The choreographer mentioned that since Govinda wore knee pads underneath his pants, Karisma didn’t have any protection for her knees.
He mentioned, “Karisma Kapoor is the person she is today because of immense effort she put in. Her mother, Babita ji, has significantly contributed to her success. Both Karisma and Kareena have been greatly influenced by her.
To those unfamiliar, Goriya Chura Na Mera Jiya remains one of the most enduring and beloved Bollywood songs, still cherished by many. This song is from the 1995 movie “Coolie No. 1,” starring Karisma Kapoor and Govinda.
