Each version conveys the same information but with slight variations in wording and phrasing to make it sound fresh and engaging.

Come along with Olivia Le Andersen, the talented voice actress who brings Freja to life, as she reads our latest comic, ‘Storm Chaser.’ Accompany ex-Overwatch agent Freja on her tumultuous journey through Overwatch’s rise and decline, and witness the extreme steps she took to forge a new destiny.

It’s interesting to note that Freja was the offspring of a diplomat during the Omnic Crisis, and she became part of Overwatch’s Search and Rescue Division—a team less known for its heroics compared to figures such as Reinhardt and Winston.

Originally, she remained with Organization W during its growth and decline. Subsequently, when she lost her job and the standing of Organization W made it difficult for her to find employment elsewhere; she was compelled to take up bounty hunting – a profession that surprisingly suited her well, as she derived immense excitement from the pursuit itself.

It’s interesting to point out that both her pseudonyms have roots in Norse mythology. Freja, known as the goddess of Love and Beauty, was Odin’s wife, while Gefn, the deity associated with Agriculture and Fertility, is also among them.

Freja’s Ability Set

Freja possesses the role of a Damage Class hero, and her status as a skilled bounty hunter endows her with unique skills that prove challenging to confront.

Here’s a breakdown of her abilities:

  • Primary Fire: Revdraw Crossbow – Freja fires automatic bolts with her specialized weapon
  • Secondary Fire: Take Aim – When Freja aims down her fire, she slows down her momentum and shoots a high-speed explosive bolt. Using Quick Dash also refreshes this ability
  • LShift: Quick Dash – Freja dashes to the direction she’s moving, and refreshes Take Aim
  • E: Updraft – Freja launches upward
  • Ultimate: Bola Shot – Freje launches a bola at an enemy which draws in other enemies before exploding

Passive Abilities

  • Enemies damaged by Freja will get temporary healing received
  • Bounty Hunting – Freja gets a bonus ultimate charge for every 3 killing blows she deals

Perks

Unlocked at Level 2

  • Frost Bolts – Enemies hit with 3 bolts in quick succession are slowed down
  • Tracking Instinct – Enemies on low health are revealed to Freja

Unlocked at Level 3

  • Ready to Hunt – Updraft grants free use of Quick Dash
  • Relentless Barrage – Direct hits with Take Aim refund 4 ammo

When it comes to strategies involving Freja, it’s advisable not to engage tanks directly but instead target the more vulnerable DPS (Damage Per Second) and support characters. Thanks to her exceptional tracking skills, she can maintain a comprehensive view of the battlefield. Additionally, her abilities and perks will provide her with insights on which enemies might be easier to eliminate.

Freja will temporarily appear from March 21st to 23rd, and her grand debut is set for the beginning of Season 16, commencing on April 22nd.
