Like a flock of geese flying high, the stablecoin sector has been on a soaring spree, up by15.57% since January, gobbling up a staggering $31.590 billion. And guess what? March alone hogged a third of that pie, vacuuming up $10.148 billion. 🥧

Tick-tock, as of April Fool’s Day,2025 (no kidding!), the sector flaunts a hefty $234.468 billion price tag. This, my dear friends, is according to the data wizards at defillama.com. Tether (USDT) reigns supreme, flexing its muscles with a $144.712 billion market cap and a trading volume that screams, “Look at me!”

Tether, the big cheese, lords over61.71% of the pie, swelling by $1.972 billion in March. Not to be outdone, USDC, the runner-up, saw its supply surge by a whopping $3.71 billion. Its market cap now stands at a cool $60.131 billion, a solid25.64% slice of the grand total. Meanwhile, Ethena’s USDe had a bit of a hiccup, losing $203.77 million and shrinking to $5.259 billion, or a modest2.24% of the stablecoin bonanza.

However, Ethena’s USDtb went on a wild ride, skyrocketing1,489% with a $1.342 billion boost. It’s the talk of the town among the top ten stablecoins! FDUSD also showed off, growing by30.64%, adding $544.09 million to its name. As of now, FDUSD struts with a $2.32 billion market cap, or a dainty0.99% of the stablecoin pie.

Blackrock’s BUIDL wasn’t left in the dust, ballooning by245% and stuffing $1.356 billion into its pockets to reach $1.908 billion. Not to mention Honey’s HONEY, buzzing21.42% higher to $592.89 million, and USDA, plumping up by19.58% to $304.11 million. 🐝🍯
