This year marks the commencement of a fresh phase in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps“. Marvel’s cherished original family made their grand appearance at CinemaCon. The recently unveiled trailer, showcased to the audience, was reported by Discussing Film. They summarized the events depicted in the new footage as follows:
The scene initiates with our main characters, affectionately known as the Fantastic Four, appearing on a popular talk show in this Marvel Cinematic Universe spin-off. It’s clear that they have been a significant part of society for quite some time and are held in high regard. Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) and Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) arrive fashionably late to dinner with Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bacharach). To make amends, Sue reveals that she is expecting a child. Johnny expresses his congratulations, predicting that Sue will be an excellent mother, while also teasing Reed about the impending parental responsibilities.
In the realm of cinematic enjoyment, I find myself engrossed in a tale where all seems well until the enigmatic figure known as the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner, graces our Earth with her presence. She issues a chilling warning to the Fantastic Four, informing them that their world faces an imminent doom. The ominous silhouette of Galactus looms over New York City, and the Silver Surfer explains we’re in a desperate race against time to save our planet from annihilation. A concerned civilian queries Reed Richards about our safety, to which he responds with a heavy heart, “I can’t promise anything.” His eyes reflect his deep immersion in research, the weight of their heroic duties bearing down upon him like an unshakable burden.
In the ending scene, Sue and Reed pledge to secure their child’s future, with Reed addressing the audience in a speech, assuring them that the Fantastic Four will indeed safeguard them. The trailer concludes with an image of the Silver Surfer, riding his distinctive board, fleeing from a devastating explosion as it consumes in flames.

As a follower, I’m thrilled to share insights about the upcoming reboot of The Fantastic Four, a project starring Paul Walter Hauser. In an exclusive interview with MovieWeb, Hauser hinted at the movie’s significant role in moving the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond its current transitional phase. Moreover, he subtly suggested that my character might only appear once in this exciting new chapter of the MCU.
As a die-hard film enthusiast, I can honestly say there’s no way I could have been given a more exhilarating opportunity than this Marvel film. It came with an underdog attitude and a burning desire to prove itself, knowing full well that previous versions didn’t resonate with many fans. And let me tell you, Marvel is currently in a transformative period. This isn’t some hidden truth, and I truly believe this movie will contribute significantly to the success of that transformation, serving as a kind of call-to-action for the new era.
I found playing the character incredibly enjoyable, and I thought the writing was superb. The actors were genuinely endearing and well-rounded. Moreover, given Marvel’s penchant for reviving characters from the quantum realm, it’s possible that my character might return – though, of course, nothing is set in stone. If that were to happen, I would be overjoyed because I have a deep affection for both the cast and crew, and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a beloved universe with such global emotional investment in its stories.
The movie titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is slated for release on July 25, 2025. This is during Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which also features the premiere of “Avengers: Doomsday” on May 1, 2026, followed by “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31, 2026, and finally, “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 7, 2027.
