Amitabh Bachchan has voiced his sorrow, while Dharmendra reminisced about every precious moment shared with the departed actor.
On April 5, 2025, Amitabh Bachchan posted a vintage image on his Tumblr blog, featuring himself and Manoj Kumar. The picture, in shades of black and white, depicted them warmly embracing, both sporting joyful expressions.

Among Manoj Kumar’s most well-known movies are Kranti, Purab Aur Pachhim, Upkar, and others. Throughout his career, he received numerous honors. On April 4, 2025, at the age of 87, he passed away. The following day, his final rituals were performed at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan were among those who attended his funeral, along with Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Prem Chopra, and others.
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan also mourned the demise of Manoj Kumar.
On his social media platform (previously Twitter), Shah Rukh Khan expressed, “Manoj Kumar sir made movies that boosted our nation, our film industry, and emphasized unity with unparalleled sincerity. A true legend in every aspect. His films defined a period and made an indelible impact on our cinema. Thank you, sir. You will forever be ‘Bharat’ to us.
Salman referred to the seasoned actor as a “true icon.” He also thanked him for all the cherished moments they shared together.
