Warner Bros. Discovery has officially launched its Turkish streaming service, BluTV, as Max, marking their dedication to boosting investments in local content and providing an exciting array of fresh local tales on their platform within Turkey.

Current subscribers in Turkey now have access to upgrade to a global platform, offering a greater selection with improved features. This allows them to stream thousands more hours and hundreds more titles compared to what was previously accessible on BluTV. Noteworthy additions include the second season of ‘The Last of Us’ and the final season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, set to debut on the service starting Tuesday.

Furthermore, Max will soon be welcoming three fresh Turkish productions that were revealed at a Tuesday launch event. These include “Anatomy of Chaos,” a drama revolving around corruption and revenge, “Jasmin” (known as “Jasmine” in Turkish), a dramatic portrayal of a young woman straddling opposing extremes, and the adult animation series “Feride.” They will join previously announced Turkish productions such as “First Göktürk,” a period drama fantasy series, season 3 of the satire “Prince,” and season 3 of the drama “Çekiç ve Gül: Bir Behzat Ç. She shared with THR that the fundamental appeal of BluTV will be emphasized even more during the Max launch. “It’s crucial to reassure our devoted fans and subscribers that our content won’t undergo significant changes,” she clarified.

Şaşmaz Oflaz noted that familiar U.S. series like “The Last of Us” and “Game of Thrones” have thrived on WBD’s Turkish streaming service, along with classic shows such as “The Sopranos,” “Sex and the City,” and more. Interestingly, he added, even older titles continue to attract a substantial number of subscribers. Furthermore, “The White Lotus” has also gained immense popularity. To cap it off, popular movie franchises like “Harry Potter” are also heavily viewed on their platform.
