Drought Brings Windows 95 MS Paint to Life in New Mirror

Drought brings back a pleasant sense of nostalgia with a fresh home decor item, reminiscent of earlier times. This year, under Jake Olshan’s leadership, the design collective has created mirrors resembling a bloody knife and more recently, an iPod Nano-like iMirror.

Once more, Drought is delving back into the initial stages of technology to showcase a reflective device reminiscent of our beloved classic application: MS Paint.

Representing itself as a 4-foot-tall mirror modeled after the iconic Windows 95 MS Paint interface, the Drought MS Paint Mirror showcases its design inspiration. Consistent with the original, it sports a toolbar at the top, with “Drought” being the final clickable option, and a function bar on the left, scroll bar on the right, and a palette of color options below another scroll bar at the bottom.

Besides checking out the lookbook, I’ve also got something special for you gaming enthusiasts! Drought put together an engaging video campaign to mark the big release. Give it a watch down below.
