Many people believe that filmmakers struggle to surpass or even equal the entertainment value of their initial movies when they make sequels. However, this belief has been disproven by numerous directors who not only produced a masterpiece for their second attempt, but some of these sequels were even more popular than the original films.
Here are 5 movie sequels to enjoy on OTT:
1. Phir Hera Pheri

In time, Movie Trilogy Number Three, originally known as Phir Hera Pheri, didn’t just score commercially but eventually earned the status of a cult favorite. Released in 2006 as a heist comedy-drama, it is the second chapter in the Hera Pheri series and features Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal as main characters. Our sources at TopMob recently disclosed that production for Hera Pheri 3 will commence in December 2025.
2. Lage Raho Munna Bhai
Where to watch: Prime Video
In simpler terms, “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” is the follow-up film to the 2003 hit movie, “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.” This movie was produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and features Sanjay Dutt as Munna Bhai and Arshad Warsi as Circuit in leading roles. Actresses like Vidya Balan, Dilip Prabhavalkar, and Dia Mirza also contribute to the film in supporting roles.
3. Don 2

Following the triumph of Don: The Chase Begins Again, creators subsequently produced Don 2: The King Returns, a film that garnered numerous awards and was highly praised by viewers.
