Elden Ring Nightreign’s latest character reveal is a big man who loves getting drunk and punching dragons, and he looks like FromSoftware’s ultimate tribute to the unga bunga playstyle

In Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware continues to unveil details about the playable characters, with the latest addition being a large character who prefers to deliver powerful punches to any boss, regardless of size. This new character, known as the Raider, has been generating excitement among fans, and it seems everyone agrees that this fighter will appeal to those who have enjoyed a straightforward, brute-force playstyle in previous games.

As a gamer, I watched the trailer and was blown away by the Raider, who took on sword strikes like they were nothing, even dishing out punches to both swordsmen and dragons. Then there was this dramatic scene where he seemed lonely, downing a whole bottle of booze all by himself.

Later, we get a glimpse of what seems like the Raiders’ final move, in which they summon a colossal stone platform from the earth, allowing you and your teammates to gain an advantageous position against adversaries by reaching higher ground.

Amidst everything else, the character’s towering stature, along with his massive two-handed weapon, suggests that he is a great fit for players who prefer to focus on Strength in their builds.

This approach to gameplay is often called “unga bunga,” sometimes with a touch of fondness within the FromSoftware community, and it seems evident that these primitive instincts are being catered to.

It appears that the ungabungas have now been given their personality, according to a comment on the Elden Ring subreddit.

The comment was accompanied by the question “where’s the caveman?” and an abundance of replies saying “unga bunga”, which I can’t feasibly reiterate. It’s clear that a genuine demand within the community has been addressed.
