Actor Jaideep Ahlawat is gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming movie Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, which features him alongside Saif Ali Khan. This exciting production will be available on Netflix starting April 25, 2025. As the release date draws near, Jaideep reflected on his time at FTII and reminisced about how he and Vijay Varma were more relaxed, while Rajkummar Rao always seemed destined for stardom.

In an interview with GQ India, Jaideep Ahlawat reminisced about his school days, stating that Rajkummar Rao was confident he’d become a star. On the other hand, Vijay Varma and himself were more relaxed. We were jokers, often skipping classes or workouts, sometimes wandering off, but we all shared the same ambition.

He additionally mentioned that he had visited the FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) not long ago while he was in Pune, and expressed, “It seemed like another era altogether.

The actor pointed out that back then, his dream seemed ‘unattainable’, and he lacked the means to make it happen. However, he now understands that success requires ‘incredible perseverance’ and consistent effort. By staying committed and always being present, one can pave the way, and things will naturally fall into place over time.

Simultaneously on his professional endeavors, Jaideep Ahlawat is readying for the premiere of his intriguing heist thriller Jewel Thief – The Heist Commences. Besides him, the movie features Saif Ali Khan, Nikita Dutta, and Kunal Kapoor in significant positions. Guided by directors Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, it is produced by Siddharth Anand, who previously directed Fighter.
