Munna Bhai MBBS is an adored cult film, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. This movie, brimming with humor, emotion, and a powerful message of love and human kindness, focuses on the deep friendship between Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, whose chemistry garnered widespread acclaim. The film also featured Boman Irani in a crucial part. Interestingly, Paresh Rawal disclosed that he was initially given the role that eventually went to Boman Irani. However, he declined the offer due to what he perceived as Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s arrogance.

During an interview with The Lallantop, Paresh Rawal revealed that he was supposed to play the role of Boman in Munna Bhai MBBS, but he was asked how much money he wanted. Paresh thought he’d ask for 15,000 rupees, but when he said it, he added that he would only take 51 rupees. Not a single penny more.

Originally, I was set to perform the part that Boman Irani did in Munna Bhai MBBS. Vidhu Vinod Chopra personally contacted me to discuss payment. Initially, I considered asking for 15 lakhs. However, when he offered 15 lakhs, I felt bold enough to demand 51 lakhs from him instead. Not a single penny less would satisfy me from his end.

In his remarks, the actor from Hera Pheri 3 noted a troubling trend in the director of 12th Fail’s behavior: after achieving professional success, he seemed to distance himself from those who had initially supported him.

Paresh made clear that money isn’t his primary concern; instead, it’s about being respected. He mentioned that if someone asks him politely, he would be willing to work on a film for a minimal fee of Rs 1. However, if he encounters rudeness or arrogance, he wouldn’t take up a role, regardless of the compensation offered.

Currently, on the professional side, Paresh Rawal has an intriguing lineup of projects coming up. His next appearance will be in Hera Pheri 3, helmed by Priyadarshan. According to news reports, a promotional clip has been filmed and it includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.

The movie will serve as its official unveiling. Previously, it was TopMob who exclusively disclosed that the production team aims for a 2026 cinema premiere. Additionally, there are projects like Housefull 5, Bhoot Bangla, and Thama currently in development too.
